Chabako – Wakeidate

,

Wakeidate 和敬点
Hounsai Daisosho did this Temae on the air carrier during the second world war. He performed the this Temae for the Kamikaze pilots just before they were about to set out on their final mission. And one assumes that the name was changed to fit this. Wa 和 – Harmony, Kei 敬 – respect.

This temae uses two Chawan, which are stacked on top of each other inside the Chabako.

Notes

When placing out the tea bowl for the guests it is not placed on top of a Kobukusa as in the other Chabako
