HIBASHI 火箸 fire “chopsticks” : style, Konomi; maker

Furo- also called “mizu” because. no eye (originally solid); “mizuji; hi suji” 火筋 -used to draw suji in kakiage Haigata and the water trigram in bottom of Haigata
hollow metal-light non-conducting; but “not always hollow”-Seiwemon
said to be based on tatami needles :. eye at top and therefore can be “stuck into” Tatami;

kazari 荘- used with Daisu, Naga-ita, Gengensai’s Ryurei
decorated and decorative in a Shakutate / Hishaku, therefore can not be “stuck into” the tatami, but are always reheld for use
no difference in use (never touches the tatami), only motif dictates seasonal use; original: solid, square cross-sec. brass / silver oshidori duck knobs; many varieties, Konomi and decorations- ginnan, kaya no mi, shinju, chorogi, peacock, etc.
