Jutoku

Is a form of Haori that people with teacher certificate may use instead of Hakama. It is used in the same occasions as hakama. The jutoku is made of a black semi-transparent fabric. It covers the upper body and the sleeves of the kimono, and is tied in the front. It goes down over the hips, but not as far as the knees. When sitting in seiza it should just about touch the tatami.

In Urasenke one needs the Chamei/Monkyo Kyojo in order to use the jutoku.
