Tsubo-Tsubo

Tsubo-tsubo refers to a design created by Sotan, from, according to myth, either the white jars used on Shinto God Shelves for water offerings, or little lumps of earth from the fields of sacred shrine fields.

Sotan made three different patterns, one for each son who started a seperate family. Urasenke has a pattern two on the left and one on the right while Omotesenke’s is two on the right and one on the left.
