Osayu お白湯, Hot water

The word Kosen 香煎 is used to refer to the warm, flavored-but-not-tea water served in the Machiai prior to Chaji, while Osayu お白湯 refers to plain hot water served in the same situation. (When is one more appropriate than the other?)
