Temae – Tsutsumi-bukusa

Tsutsumi-bukusa ( 包み袱紗 ) is included in the second group of eight Konarai (see kyojo) temae a student typically learns. In this temae the teishu prepares koicha using a natsume, usually a shinnuri chu natsume, which has been wrapped in the teishu’s fukusa prior to the start of the temae.
